What Is An E-Cigarette?

An E-Cigarette is a device that has been developed to simulate the experience of smoking, but it does not have any of the harmful side effects of traditional smoking. A E-Cigarette is designed to look like a normal smoke, but us actually made of of 3 main components. These components that make up the anatomy of an E-Cigarette are the battery unit, the atomizer and the e-liquid container. Usually the battery component of a E-Cigarette is white, while the atomizer and e-liquid chamber are contained in a brown coloured piece that looks like the filer of a normal smoke.

The secret to the E-Cigarette is the atomizer. This device uses power from the battery to convert the e-liquid inside the E-Cigarette to a smoke-like vapour. This vapour looks and tastes like smoke for the user, but since there is no heat or burning, an E-Cigarette actually produces no real smoke. Becuse of this, an e-cigarette can be used any place a normal smoke can not, such as in restaurants, bar's and other places there is a tobacco smoking ban. Also since this vapour from an e-cigarette is not real smoke, there is no risks of harmful second hand smoke from an e-cigarette.
The e-liquid contained in a e-cigarette is a special formula of safe ingredients that produces the white smoke-like vapour when passed through the atomizer. E-Liquid consists of water, Propylene Glycol (a harmless food additive), some form of natural flavour additive such as tobacco, mint or cherry. 

The taste of an E-Cigarette is fairly close to a tobacco smoke, but often users find it has a bit of a sweetness to it, (which is from the Propylene Glycol) , and often the tobacco flavoured e-liquid in an E-Cigarette has a very subtle "Woody" taste to it. It is not exactly the same flavour as a real smoke, but considering the massive health benefits, its more than acceptable to those who have chosen to use E-Cigarettes.

E-Cigarettes use a battery to power the atomizer. Most E-Cigarettes use a rechargeable battery (higher end e-cigarette units use a Lithium battery), while some E-cigarettes that are intended only for short life use have a disposable standard battery (such as the disposable e-cigarette products). The units with a rechargeable battery come with some form of a charger to recharge the battery. Some higher end e-cigarette kits also come with 2 batteries, so one can charge while the other one is being used.
